Check out the latest update to my Story Hour: Gonnes, Sons and Treasure Runs over at ENWorld:One mailed mitt stretched to grab a piece of reef. Beldin, his beard sopping wet, slowly dragged himself up to the surface. He had been bitten several times by the shark, but to little effect. The teeth couldn't penetrate the bands of metal that encased him. And yet the most innocuous creature had done just that.
In his other hand, Beldin lifted a black sea urchin to the surface. Some of Beldin's blood was still on its poisonous tips.
"It's a good thing I'm made of sterner stuff," said Beldin, spitting seawater. [MORE]
