As a Pose Method @ Running coach I was looking for something to help my students who had a difficult time with the drills to get a feel for Pose running. The belt worked. It was the 'tipping point' I could see and they could feel what Pose running was all about.The belt is a great training tool for those who have difficulty with the drills. It is very simple and easy to use. It works!
It is a simple lightweight training belt that you wear during your runs or drill work that will aid you to 'self correct' your running gait to a more efficient, high turnover, and injury resistant running style.
Over striding is the #1 cause of most running injuries. Everytime you stick your foot out in front of your body you are stopping yourself.
The tubing attaches behind the waist belt and ankle straps, to gently remind you to pull the leg up under the body. Everytime you try to stick your leg in front of your body, the tension on the tubing will increase, forcing you to pull your leg up under your body.
With the training belt it is almost impossible to stick your leg out. As you continue to use the belt it will feel more comfortable to pull your leg up then it is to stretch your leg out in front of your body. This will be readily noticed while you are running without the belt. Soon your muscle memory will have you running in the Pose Method@ of Running style.
You have three levels of adjustment for leg length, you choose the one that gives you the proper resistance you need to prevent you from stretching out the leg. Over time you will get better and faster at pulling the leg up under the body. The green tubing provides less resistance then the red tubing. Start out with the green tubing, then progress to the red.
