Specializing in 18th Century Reproduction Clothing
for Historical Reenactorments and Living History
A well respected tailor specializing in reproduction clothing for 18th Century living history interpretation, Ms. Darlene Wigton, AKA The Lady Garak, is herself a very active and accomplished reenactor, with both British and American military units. The art of tailoring is her passion as well as her occupation. Her goal is to provide historically accurate clothing within a reasonable delivery time. Garments are not massed produced by machines. Rather each is a handmade creation, cut and sewn as was done in the 18th Century. Serious reenactors make the House of Garak their preferred colonial tailor.

The House of Garak is located in the Boston area and primarily services the New England and Eastern states reenactment community. We prefer to make one or more face-to-face fittings as we fabricate your clothing. If you dwell too far away to make fitting in person practical, but have a competent local tailor to make alterations, we can also accommodate you. You will not find fixed prices here because each garment requires considerations about materials, details, labor, schedules etc. Many items in our photo gallery show prices so you can get a general idea about final costs for similar products. Generally we need six months lead time to complete most coats and complete uniforms. We are taking a limited number of orders for the upcoming season, as we pursue a realistic production schedule.

It is best if you contact Darlene by phone 781-933-4976 during standard business hours EST. Or by E-mail (anytime) at Ladygarak@butter.toast.net. After discussing your needs, we will be able to determine a price and a delivery date. Your purchase of required materials is your down payment.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SERVING YOU AS YOU KEEP HISTORY ALIVE!
