Me in a tux? You've got to be kidding!
- Home Life
- Apparently, my entire "Home Life" section was erased at some point.
I am working on a divorce (the paperwork should finalize before too
long). I have five (5) cats and two (2) dogs. Yes, I have a bit of mild
insanity when it comes to pet ownership. If that were all there was
too it, we would be fine, but I also have a housemate, and she
has a cat (total of six (6) felines in the
house). We do alright, even given all of that, though every once in
a while I do need to get away from the near-constant attention of the
animals.
- A job? What's that??
- My current title is Manager, Technology Services, and I am employed
by Xerox
Global Services, a division of Xerox
Corporation.I have a variety of responsibilities, ranging
from server administration, to management of the technology surrounding
our Xerox
Office Services (XOS) offering, also known as Managed Print Solution
(MPS). I am a jack of all trades, master of several, and I like the
breadth of experience I bring to the table.
- Interests
- I enjoy computers both as a career and as a hobby. Due to time constraints,
I rarely get to experience what the rest of the world calls "free time",
but when I do, I try to make it quality enjoyment time. I am trying
to find new hobbies and activities as my former hobbies have largely
fallen by the wayside. I do enjoy working on the house from time to
time though, and stores like Lowe's and Home Depot are definitely my
bane.
I have enjoyed reading since a young child (around age 4 I think), and
my favorites are sci-fi and fantasy. My favorite authors include Isaac
Asimov, Piers Anthony, J.K. Rowling, Tom Clancy, Orson Scott Card, and
Arthur C. Clarke.
I love music, especially hard rock, heavy metal, techno, and 80's pop
rock.
I have enjoyed participating in the Boy Scouts, as a child, and later
as an adult leader. Of course, being a Boy Scout/Assistant Scoutmaster,
I get a kick out of outdoorsy things. My favorite outdoors experiences
include canoeing down the Tar River in Greenville, NC in pouring rain
with my friend and his family, and the campout where we jumped off a
cliff and got lost in the woods (we went rapelling and orienteering).
- Internet Stuff
- I love to hang out on talkers. I used to spend a lot of time in the
mud world, and am still pretty good with LPC (Amylaar and CDLIB specific
really). I have met a lot of acquiantances, but unfortunately, only
a few real friends that I can still find. A lot of my friends live outside
of the Cincinnati area, and so I do not get to see them often. Some
friends links include:
Well, that's me in a nutshell, hope you enjoyed perusing.
