Toledo Botanical Gardens

(August 30, 2011) Feodora and I spent a lovely late-summer afternoon at the Toledo Botanical Gardens. Because this area was donated to Toledo by George P. Crosby, these are also called "Crosby Gardens". For most of this photo shoot, the main subject is the park and gardens. Feodora is here as a model to add interest. We only covered about one third of the park and gardens.

The park and gardens cover more than 60 acres.

After 50 years of enriching lives through gardens, the arts, and nature, Toledo Botanical Garden continues to evolve and bring new experiences, resources, and beauty to the Toledo area.

The Grand Allee statuary.

A few of the Toledo Metroparks have a gazebo. I always wanted one at my house. I met a young couple during this part of the shoot. They were quite pleased to see Feodora. The lady took a picture of her.

One thing that this gazebo lacks is seating. There are no benches.

The statue and the model make a pretty pair!

Down the lane in front of the statue (looking south) are the Perennial Border gardens.

Feodora is standing at a garden gate near the duck pond.

In the far background you can see the bridge. A few people met us on the way to this area. They also seemed to be impressed with Feodora.

The narrows spanned by this bridge joins Crosby Lake on the east side with the duck pond on the west.

We hope you enjoy seeing these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them. We will go out again to get pictures from the rest of the gardens. "Stay tuned for further developments!"

Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.

Feodora is wearing the Paisley Printed Top, the Comfort Waist White Pant, the Lace Drop earrings, the Lace Pendant Necklace, the Lace Motif Stretch bracelet, the Sparkling Flowers Cuff watch in pink, the Heart of the Crusade pin, the Silvertone Marquise Ring, and the Plum Gorgeous lipstick all from Avon. Her tennis shoes are from Wal Mart.

Her wig (from Forever Young) was given to her by Irina at Anatomical Doll.
