Rain and Shine

This turned out to be a two-part photo shoot. I went out early in the day after rain had fallen the night before. The tree in the central planted area of the patio was still dripping when we got there. Out on the sidewalk toward the tool shed, the sun was out shining brightly.
Early Morning Rain

The water dripping off of the tree and the deep shade provided by the trees reminded me of the song, "Early Morning Rain". The song was written by Gordon Lightfoot in 1964, but I first heard it performed by Peter, Paul, and Mary (1965).

Early Morning Rain.MP3 as performed by Peter, Paul & Mary

In the early morning rain, with a dollar in my hand
And an aching in my heart and my pockets full of sand
I'm a long way from home, and I miss my loved one so
In the early morning rain with no place to go

Out on runway number nine, big 707 set to go
But I'm out here on the grass where the pavement never grows
Well the liquor tasted good and the women were all fast
Well there she goes my friend, she is rolling down at last

Here the mighty engine roar, see the silver wing on high
She's away and westward bound, far above the clouds she'll fly
Where the mornin' rain don't fall and the sun always shines
She'll be flying o'er my home in about three hours time

This old airport's got me down, it's no earthly good to me
'Cause I'm stuck here on the ground, cold and drunk as I might be
(You) can't jump a jet plane like you can a freight train
So I'd best be on my way in the early morning rain
So I'd best be on my way in the early morning rain

Sunshine On My Shoulders

Sunshine On My Shoudlers

Sunshine On My Shoulders.MP3

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a day that I could give you
I'd give to you a day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way

Chorus

If I had a tale that I could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
I'd make a wish for sunshine all the while

Chorus

Sunshine almost all the time makes me high
Sunshine almost always

Feodora's other photo shoots can be accessed from this index.

Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.

Feodora is wearing the black and white print dress from Chirstopher & Banks, the Lace Drop earrings, the Lace Pendant Necklace, the Lace Motif Stretch bracelet, the Sparkling Flowers Cuff watch in pink, the Heart of the Crusade pin, the Silvertone Marquise Ring, all from Avon. Her White Stag ballet flats came from Wal Mart.

Her wig (from Forever Young) was given to her by Irina at Anatomical Doll.
