Some folks here know that I am the father of two daughters, and that I have always been involved in women's issues (Breast Cancer Awareness, Domestic Violence Prevention, Women's Empowerment).

I participated in the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® annual Race for the Cure. This race was held Sunday September 30, 2012 in Toledo, Ohio. If you would like to give a (US) tax-deductable donation to this cause, please visit this page for the Northwest Ohio division.

Feodora is a much better model than I am!
Although this is a timed race, I will be in an untimed group. I can really use the exercise, but a 5k run would have me puffing straight from the oxygen tank!

I will be doing the 5k Walk, although for me it will be more of a 5k mosey! ;)

She can take care of the pets until I return.
Unfortunately, Feodora will not be in attendance. Although she is in better shape than I am ( a whole LOT better

), she will be watching the race on the news. She says that is "Just ducky!"

Some of you know that I have two daughters, and I have always been a supporter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. You will see the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Pin in almost every picture of my girls, and the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Tennis Bracelet in some.

I have registered for the 2013 Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure® The 2013 race in Toledo will be on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Findlay, Ohio will be holding their first Race for the Cure® on Saturday, September 28, 2013 (I did not register for that race). If you wish to donate to your local affiliate, find them on the Susan G. Komen national website.

I will be participating in the Race for the Cure again this year. I did the 5k walk in 2012 and 2013. I am not in shape to do the 5k run without putting my own health in Jeopardy! (What did you say, Alex Trebek?)

Feodora is wearing the 2014 tee shirt and is holding this year's entry number.

This is the Race for the Cure 2014 'running team', although Feodora will not go, and I do not run.

      The 21st Annual Komen Toledo (Ohio) Race for the Cure was held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 - 9:30 a.m. (I went to this one.)

Once again I am participating in the Northwest Ohio (Toledo) Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. As always, Feodora gets to wear the tee shirt before I do. I am wearing the tee shirt from 2014. I am wearing the 2014 tee shirt. Feodora is wearing the 2015 tee shirt. She is also wearing the Avon Pink Ribbon Pin, Pink Ribbon Tennis Bracelet, and Women's Empowerment Bracelet (for the fight against domestic violence). The cookies were baked by a stay-at-home Mom. I bought a dozen and they are goo-ood!

Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (an excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.
