Portside

"Portside" on the north side of the Maumee river is one of city parks in Toledo, Ohio. The Glass City just hosted an event called "Navy Week", its first ever. I went down on Friday when the ships were in town, but I did not take Feodora. We went back today while it was relatively cool for a photo shoot. Click on these images for larger versions.

"International Park" is on the south side of the river.

The decoration on this pillar was here when we arrived.

Feodora made some new friends at Portside.

Private small craft may be docked in this area. Not shown in this picture are the sunbather's sandals on the deck next to her 'seat'.

Feodora must have thought that the little girl had something on her hand. The boy is trying to pick up a bottle cap.

After a while she warmed up to the kids' father.

She had to explain herself to the man's wife. These steps lead up to the back of the Imagination Station science museum. At one time, this building used to house the "Portside Festival Marketplace".

I thought I should tell the lady that we were only doing a photo shoot. She was about to do something nasty to Feodora with that fruit!

I have no clue what this sculpture (over the fountain, in the back) is supposed to be. I just do not 'get' modern art!

This is in the same area.

Altogether it was a good day, and I got some much-needed exercise. A few people asked about Feodora (Is she real?), what I was doing, and why. I gave them my cards (name, address, website). If any of them contact me later about Feodora's photo shoots, I will mention Our Doll Community, the website where these pictures are hosted.

Feodora's other photo shoots can be accessed from this index.

Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.
