Feodora's Recorder Recital
Feodora has been practicing on her recorder ever since she listened to my Roxanne Layton CD. She also knows that Somewhere In Time is one of my favorite films. At one time I had the 33 1/3 RPM record album of the soundtrack. I bought the sheet music years ago.
There is an arts festival where local talent has a chance to perform. Feodora studied the main theme from this movie. She and a small group gave two performaces of the John Barry theme. youTube video, MP3 file.
In the pictures above, she was in rehearsal for the number, playing along with a taped copy of the album. She changed into the black dress for the first performance.
I thought that she did quite well, but she was a bit disappointed by a minor mistake during the first performance.
During her dress rehearsal, she asked me to "mill about" the way people would at the actual event. (It was held outside.) I went around her with the camera, but otherwise I was quiet.
There are quite a few people at the arts festival. Feodora asked if the folks here really like these events, or if there just was nothing else to do in Toledo. (She also heard the John Denver song, "Saturday Night in Toledo, Ohio". youTube video, lyrics
Here she is in the Red Ruffle Dress (my favorite) for the second performance. You may not be able to see all of the times on the clock, but this took quite a while.
There were some wolf whistles for her and the other girls during the first performance, so she put on her reading glasses to make herself look more "scholarly".
If you look closely, you can see the difference in the two pair of reading glasses.
The larger glasses (above) do make her look a bit bookish. The smaller glasses (below) give her a more feminine look. Either way, she look great to me. The same guys that gave the wolf whistles at the first performance were there later, but they behaved themselves. I recognized a couple of the larger fellows from the University of Toledo football team. They were standing right behind the other guys, and they had determined looks on their faces.
I have used two 75 watt spotlights in my clamp-on reflectors, and a 60 watt household bulb in my mini-reflector. I used the smaller light to for a backlight on the wall behind Feodora. The 75 watt lights were aimed inside my silver-coated umbrellas and bounced back to Feodora.
I also spent a lot of time searching for my music stand. Since I could not find it, I used the wraught iron stand where I keep some of my CDs. We hope you like the pictures!

Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.
She is wearing the White Button-Down Top, the Comfort Waist White Pant (top pictures), the Black Twist Front Dress (middle pictures), the Red Ruffle Dress (bottom pictures), the Heart of the Crusade Pin, the Scroll Cuff Watch, and the Goldtone Marquise Ring, all from Avon. Her reading glasses and White Stag ballet flats are from Wal Mart. Her wig (from Forever Young), necklace and earrings were given to her by Irina at Anatomical Doll.
