Dollstock 2011

      We stayed at the same venue where we were last year. I rode with another fellow to the Dollstock meet last year and this year. The drive out was excellent. Since I was not driving, I was able to take in the view all the way out and back. The fall colors were at or near their peak. With the heavy load in the truck and trailer, we took it nice and easy both ways. Some folks were tied up with family and job requirements and could not make it this time. We missed them, but they were there in spirit.


      One of the ladies in our group discovered an old fire department water truck out back. We took the girls out for a shoot there. There are also animal pens across the street, but we fooled around too long and lost the light before we got over there.


      The hill was a bit steep for me, so Feodora stood off to the side like a roving reporter.

      When we were there in 2010 people who stayed in four of the guest rooms shared community rest rooms and showers at the front (east) end of the hall. Those four rooms were upgraded with full bathrooms, but had only two beds instead of the three that we expected. I brought an air mattress and tent as a 'just in case', but we did not need them. If everyone had been able to come this year, we would have camped out in the big room with all of the dolls. The owner also said that there were other beds in storage.

      We thought we would have the entire inn to ourselves, but two of the rooms were occupied when we arrived. Another surprise to everyone was that the free breakfast was not included, which made the weekend a little more expensive. The owner should have mentioned that before we came out. Still, the venue was a good deal and we basically had the run of the place. If we go back next year, we will be prepared for this.

      One of the fellows dressed up in a Santa suit and we did a good shoot there. 'Our Fearless Leader' wrote out a poem that was read while he shot some video. We had the girls out on the front porch for a Halloween shoot.

      'Our Fearless Leader' and his wife brought a three-section crock pot full of goodies. They also made a huge salad, and we worked on that all weekend. One fellow grilled some Bacon Explosions and hot wings. He also brough a crock pot full of goodies, but I forget what he called it. The hot wings were a bit too spicy for me. We had enough beverages there to last a month! I went overboard on everything!

      On the way back to Ohio, my driver had some irritation in his right ear. Most likely it was from all of the BS coming out of the passenger seat! We had a blast, and we are looking forward to the next doll meet!

      Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.
