I participate in a number of causes that, hopefully, will make this a better world for my daughters and their families. Most of these have merchandise to advertise their messages. I generally purchase tee shirts, since they are the best way for me to advertise the messages. I put them on Feodora for my online presence, since she is a lot easier on the eyes than am I.
The Ovarian Cancer Connection is the Toledo, Ohio local advocacy of the larger movement to support those affected by these diseases. Their symbol is the Teal Ribbon and their motto is "It's time to get real about teal". The 5k Ellen Jackson Walk was held on Saturday; September 21, 2019. From their website:
"We established ourselves as an important local advocate for patients and families struggling with ovarian cancer."
"No one walks alone"
I am a bit of a snob about the doll wardrobe. I always buy new clothes and 'almost' never put used clothing on the dolls. This is the one exception, since I get these tee shirts at the event. I did launder the tees before putting them on Feodora.
The annual Komen Race for the Cure in Toledo took place on Sunday; September 29, 2019. I was feeling poorly that day and hardly got out of bed all day. I did register for the event, although I fully expected to have moved to Nebraska before then. From their website:
"The mission of Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our 24-county region and by investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. "
2019 Race for the Cure
(Abolitionists in the Twenty First Century) is one of the international groups working to end human slavery in our lifetime. The international Walk For Freedom was held on October 19. From their website:
"We are a nonprofit organization fueled by radical hope that human beings everywhere will be rescued from bondage and completely restored. We are the abolitionists of the 21st century. We work with you to free slaves and disrupt the demand."

I support the Dressember Foundation which works to free people from human slavery and sex trafficking. My photos for the 2019 campaign are here.
