Back Together 2

The '67 Buick reassembled

Here you can see the neatly cut and chrome trimmed hole in the hood which acts as a chimney to allow the hot air to escape as well as allowing the velocity stack to breathe cool outside air.  Also visible, the GS grill (with it's now properly placed emblem), the transmission cooler, and little brother's '73 Malibu 396 4 speed.

Here you can see the new stance.  Yes, the old set up looked aggressive, but this way the tires don't rub and the ball joints don't pull out.  A good look at how the velocity stack comes through the hood as well.  Don't bother harrassing me, I've heard it all.  One little old lady asked me if that was a coffee pot.  All I can say is "form follows function".....and this functions.....

The car used to look like this...then I touched up all the primer spots and it looked better.....then I sideswiped a bridge and creased it from just behind the front wheel all the way to just ahead of the back wheel.  I have the new door, but the tough part to fix will be behind the door.....anyone got a clean one of these I can cut up to fix mine?
Wow.....all that tire and they still spin..I don't get it......heh heh.....

Another rear shot....that's all anyone ever sees anyway!  But seriously, this is the end that makes all the noise.  Long live rear wheel drive cars!
