These information pages list the descendants of Dr. Alphonso Hodge, born in Livingston Co. KY, ca: February 1, 1830. He migrated to White Co. IL in the mid 1850's. He left his home in Mill Shoals, White Co., IL, in September 1881, to avoid arrest on a warrant for forgery, and was never heard from again by his family in Illinois. His last known whereabouts was Bowie Co. Texas; where he signed a deed to his property in Illinois, giving ownership of his farm to his wife, Rachel Jeanette (Carter) Hodge, who never saw him again.
