Dressing
On Monday, Jennie would bake the bread for the week
(because of course they would never buy bread). Grandpa was always hoping they had bread leftover.
Because on Sunday they’d have fried chicken and if there was
leftover bread, she would use it to make dressing.
So all the kids didn’t each much bread on Saturday so they were
sure there was enough for dressing on Sunday (because they all liked
dressing). |
