John Hagan applied for and received 4
patents. They all appear to deal with the railroad industry (see his
biography below for more information on his profession). The
last one was granted on March 11, 1884 just 8 days after his death from
pneumonia. No other research has been done on these patents, so I do
not know how they were transferred as part of his estate. Click on
