Family Remembrances
For the family
of
George Reed
Bridges and Allie Mae Chapman
Life in the City
From the 1st daughter:
-
Mother said those were the
hardest times in their lives (money wise). We used to get a nickel every
day to spend at school for candy or whatever and it seemed like a fortune to
me.
-
Remember all the kids in the
class at school coming out for a party. Mother had chocolate
molasses, which was our claim to fame.
