Here are some recipes to pass on to your human!
cookieLiver Browniescookie

1 lb. raw liver
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup wheat germ
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Blend liver (blender or food processor) until creamy. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Bake in 8 x11 (oblong) cake pan about 15 to 20 minutes at 325 degrees. When cool, cut into squares. Can be frozen!! If the "kids" will let you!!!

cookieMicrowave Doggie Doughnutscookie
2 cups whole wheat flour
3 tbs. oatmeal
1 egg lightly beaten
1 tsp. garlic powder
2/3 cup beef or chicken broth

Place flour in a bowl, add egg and broth, mix well. Blend in oatmeal and garlic powder.
Roll dough into a ball, roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/2" thick.
Cut with small doughnut cutters. Reroll scraps and repeat. Shape last bits by hand. Arrange rings on a shallow baking dish or on a sheet of parchment paper in a single layer. Cook on high 10 minutes or until firm. Let cool until hardened. Store in covered container.


cookieDog Biscuits cookie
1 cup flour
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
6 tbs. margarine
1 tbs. brown sugar
1 egg
3 cubes chicken or beef bouillon
1/2 cup hot water

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in margarine until the mixture resembles corn meal. Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water. Stir sugar with egg and add to dry ingredients. Add water to make a stiff dough. Knead dough on a floured board until smooth. Roll until 1/2" thick. Cut with small cookie cutters. Reroll scraps and repeat. Bake about 25 minutes at 325 F. on a greased cookie sheet. Yields about 24 biscuits.


cookieTail Wagger's Dog Bisciuts cookie

4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups all purpose flour
3 cups cornmeal
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
2/3 cup non fat dry milk
2 TBSP. garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 cups beef broth
1 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
GLAZE - 1 large egg beaten with 1 TBSP. Worchestershire sauce
Mix flours, cornmeal, rolled oats, powdered milk, garlic powder and salt in a large bowl. Wisk beef broth, oil, and 2 eggs in a medium bowl. Stir broth mixture into flour mixture until blended and a soft dough forms. On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/2 inches. Cut into desired shapes. Place 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. With a fork, prick a line of dots down the center of biscuit. Brush tops and sides with glaze. Bake at 300 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours until dry and hard. Store covered at room temp. Keeps for about 3 months.

cookiePuppy Party Appetizers cookie
(or birthday cake depending on how you make it!)

1/2 lb. Ground beef
1/2 cup Whole wheat bread crumbs
1 Carrot, finely grated
1 Egg beaten
1 tsp. Grated cheese
1 tsp. Tomato paste
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all ingredients, mix well. Roll into meat balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until brown and firm. Cool and store in refrigerator in airtight container or freeze. (This can also be doubled and baked in a 9x9 dish or a bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Allow this to cool and then frost it with cream cheese.)



cookiePet Party Mixcookie
2 cups Cheerios 2 cups Chex or Crispix
2 tsps dry gravy mix
1/2 cup imitation bacon bits
2 cups spoon-size Shredded Wheat
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup grated Parm Cheese
1 cup dog treats (Pupperoni, Jerky Treats, etc...)
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Pour melted butter/margarine into a 13x9 baking pan. Stir in cheese, bacon bits, and gravy mix. Add cereal and stir until all pieces are coated. Heat until crisp, approximately 45 minutes. Let cool and add in the dog treats and stir. Store in tightly sealed container.

cookieDoggie Birthday Cakecookie
1 ½ cups All-Purpose flour
1 ½ tsp. Baking powder
½ cup Margarine, softened
½ cup Corn oil
1 Jar strained beef or liver baby food (2 1/2-ounce)
4 Eggs
3 Strips dog beef jerky, crumbled (optional)
Plain yogurt (for dogs) or cottage cheese (for dogs or cats), for icing
(You can use cream cheese with a little food coloring as icing also.)
Sift flour and baking powder together; set aside. In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, cream margarine until smooth. Add corn oil, baby food and eggs; mix until smooth. At low speed, gradually beat flour mixture into beef mixture until batter is smooth. Fold in beef jerky. Pour batter into well-greased and floured 8"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 325F. oven 70 minutes. Let cool on wire rack a few minutes before removing from pan to cool completely. Ice each slice with yogurt or cottage cheese for dogs, or with cottage cheese for cats. Yield: 1 (8") loaf cake.
