Tabular Quartz
Check out this cluster of tabular quartz from the Oisans mountains,
southeast of Grenoble, where I purchased it. The locals call it "quartz
à âme" or "spirit quartz."
It grows in parallel
associations of flat, doubly terminated rock crystal.
This particular
specimen has two rows of intersecting crystals! (3x3x0.4 cm)
More interesting quartz here.
