Pliomerops, Knoxville, TN.
This trilobite pair comes from the ordovician limestone of East
Tennessee. I found them on a road cut on the John Sevier Highway,
north of Knoxville. I never found other fossils of any worth at
this locality. But I spent hundreds of hours here just "knowing"
that I would find something. I have always been disappointed at
how marvelous their preservation was and how, as my first complete
trilobite, I did just a poor to mediocre job of extracting them.
But they are neverless an uncommon species, nicely preserved and
100% mine!
