Fort Payne Mississippian Limestone, Middle Tennessee.
I found this very interesting specimen as a young child. I have never
had it identified. It has a jointed appearance, as if it's an ammonite,
but it may be an internal mold of a platyceras or other gastropod. Let
me know if you have ideas!
