Tom built the Tamiya 8-ton half-track w/quad 20mm flak, otherwise known as Sd.Kfz. 7/1 out of the box.   Tom's approach to painting and weathering his armor projects generally showed an "impressionist" method.   It was not really about the details, but more of the look of the project in a broad sense, like an image he saw in his head.   I guess you can think of it as painting a 3D piece of canvas.   To that end, Tom is depicting a spring, Eastern Front scenario, using products from the Vallejo line. Tom applied five different shades of Vallejo pigments, and three different washes to reproduce his vision.   So long Tom. We'll miss you.
