Tom pieced together his salt flats racer with a '55 Corvette body shell mounted on a '57 frame.   The hood was heavily modified with the initial hi-rise scoop cut down considerably, and the headrest was made from an aircraft belly tank, while the canopy came from an F-16.   Tom used 12 coats of enamel to get that nice even finish, and the decals used were all period correct.
