Phil built the 1/48th scale Tamiya F-14A Tomcat kit using the Eduard Zoom PE set to replace the instrument panels and side consoles. Other than that, the project was completed with no further modifications and no issues were encountered. As a matter of fact, Phil commented that the fit was so good that some assemblies simply snapped together with no glue required. Mr. Paint colors were used throughout the build and the "Grim Reaper" markings came from a Fightertown decal sheet. The weathering was accomplished with a combination of pre & post shading using a Pasche Model H airbrush. Phil closed by saying that Tamiya has outdone them selves with this offering, saying that this is by far their best engineered, best fitting aircraft kit yet.
