Meet - September Heat - or just plain Heat as he is known around here. After having our farm for 4 years, it was time for us to get back 'into' horses. We found a great organization that rescues and adopts retired thoroughbred race horses. Heat won the Michigan Classic for 3 year olds, and placed in his next 3 races. As a 4 year old he placed once, then was given up after Great Lakes Downs shut down permanently. Retraining an ex-racer has been an experience and although we started out only knowing how to go around the world to the left & at only 1 speed; Heat is turning into a great dressage & jumping prospect!
