Most mad geniuses play the piano well, sculpt strange statues, or compose really weird arias. But not this guy. No, this guy is a true blue psycho. He also happens to be very smart; smart enough that he can turn people against each other, slip out of the most secure prison, and smooth-talk his way into any guarded location. He’s mad, he’s a genius…ladies and gentlemen, the Mad Genius! Let’s give him a hand!

Mad Geniuses, being mad and all, don't really get out much. So they're rarely in good shape. They're usually white guys with a peculiar accent and probably more than a few weird affectations.

People. Be it their minds or their flesh or maybe a cominbation thereof, Mad Geniuses enjoy toying with those they perceive to be of lesser intellect. Most Mad Geniuses work by some sort of twisted logic, using anagrams, puzzles, and weird horrible torture devices to destroy their victims.

Behavior:

Mad Geniuses aren't exactly social folk. They have difficult blending in, but some are just smart enough to sail through modern society. They inevitably are drawn to high arts: literature, museums, libraries, opera, etc.

Danger:
|
The biggest danger from a Mad Genius is the damage he can do in society. One-on-one, a Mad Genius is just another slasher. But in a civilized world, Mad Geniuses know how to put their knowledge to deadly use. This can range from blackmail and extortion to inventing technology that nobody in their right mind would create. Once a Mad Genius bends his will to a particular person, that person is in a lot of trouble. Entire PRU teams have been outwitted by Mad Geniuses, so stay alert and look past the obvious clues.

Tactics:

Defeating a Mad Genius is simply a matter of thinking smarter. Which is kind of tough if you're not born with the sheer, insane intellect that these guys are gifted with at birth. Failing that, call in the experts...the same society that Mad Geniuses twist and manipulate to their own ends can be turned against them. Hiring a few geniuses and experts of your own will give you a leg up. Maybe.
