Bakuretsu Con
Location: Burlington, VT
Date: May 9-11, 2003
Web Site: Bakuretsu Con
Description:
Bakuretsu Con is a convention celebrating
Japanese animation while supporting the gaming industry. We
run a lot of events for both elements. You will find Anime
videos, Anime contests, role-playing games, card games,
miniature games, tournaments and more. Check out our events
and contests for more information on all the things we offer.
All contests and events are included in the three day pass,
additional fees maybe required for games as noted.
Appearances:
-
Living Greyhawk: This was my
first Living Greyhawk adventure! Very cool stuff and an
even cooler judge. I'm glad I had such a good experience
my first time around. We were lucky...not everybody
does.
-
Panel: Last year, I hosted two panels. While the gaming was very
cool, my panels were not attended at all. As in, nobody
actually showed up (or even knew I was in the room!).
Bakuretsu Con is working through some space issues so
there isn't room for a table this year. By far the coolest
part was meeting Melissa Benson! Oh well, maybe we'll
visit next year.
-
Table: The Gaming Professionals
Network showed up -- at least, a majority of us (me, Rob
Taylor, Joe Tresca, and Jeremy Ortiz). It was an
educational experience about running a booth.
