Michael "Talien" Tresca is a game designer, author, communicator, and artist. He is the original creator of Welstar, one of the six worlds in RetroMUD and the setting for his role-playing games and fiction.
Michael has authored numerous supplements and adventures for publishers of D20 Fantasy, including AEG, MonkeyGod Enterprises, Goodman Games, Otherworld Creations, and Privateer Press. He has recently written supplements for publishers of D20 Modern, including RPGObjects and Ronin Arts. His articles and reviews have appeared in Allgame.com, D20 Filtered, Dragon, Gamers.com, Pyramid, and RPG.net.
He has participated in panels about electronic and tabletop role-playing games at Bakuretsucon, Dragon*Con, and I-Con. When he's not writing, Michael can be found as his alter ego, Talien, on RetroMUD as an administrator.
Michael lives in Connecticut with his wife, who is an editor, and his cat, who is fluent in English.

I took the Inner Dragon Online Quiz and found out I am a White Dragon on the inside.
If there ever was an apparition of balance, power and reclusive intelligence, my Inner Dragon is it. Whites are a fairly common dragon and are considered one of two harmonious dragons. My anti-thesis is the evil Black Dragon. My Inner Dragon likes to think things out, plot against enemies, and look down upon the world from the highest mountain peaks. My favorable attributes are the Day, the Sun, truth, a positive attitude, and helpful magic. Humans only need fear me when they stray into my domain without proper tribute. Of course, that tribute would probably be a cake the size of a Volkswagen, but hey, if they wanted to move through my turf they should have brought it, right? If someone ever really wanted a fight I'd be an impressive opponent, considering I pack a breath weapon combination of Fire and Lightning. Even the nicest dragons can do some serious damage.

They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently conccern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.
Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.
Secondary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Deity:
Solonor Thelandria is the Chaotic Good elven god of archery and the hunt. He is also known as the Keen Eye, the Great Archer, and the Forest Hunter. His followers respect nature, and only hunt when needed, but are quick to defend the forest from intruders. Their favorite weapon is the bow, and they tend to be extremely talented with it. Solonor Thelandria's symbol is an arrow with green fletchings.
