"A Delicate Flower" A soft petal Gleaming in the light Of an early morning dawn A bead of dew glistens Slowly sliding along the edge Down to the stem Of this beautiful flower A woman reaches down And plucks the flower Out of the ground Raises it slowly And takes in a deep breath Drawing in the scent Of the beautiful miracle The woman Middling height Hair soft as the spring breeze Eyes like tiny raindrops Hair red as a rose And her smile Her smile Bright as the morning dawn I look up And glory in her beauty Her smile warming my heart Her touch a breath Of complete happiness For it is she that I love With her firey tressess And it is to her that My heart belongs A lamp By which I guide my life I know not how to tell her Nor how to explain How much she means to me My mouth Silent Unmoving Whenever she is near My heart abounds with love And caring for her For her and her alone Would that she could know The strength of my feelings My motives My desires Then would she know That with all my heart I love her My princess A slender flower Decorated by a tiny Glistening Pearl of dew
