"Agony"

A tear
Glistens
Slides slowly down my cheek
I stare off into emptiness
My voice falters, fails
A tiny whisper incapable of speech
My hands tremble

There is no answer
To the pain within
Only questions and questions
Without answers
Some think of solutions
Of great things to try
Things which for most might work
But for me
For me are only
A form of living Hell

There is no solution
No quick answer to the problem
And so must I suffer
The burden of the pain
The failure, the loneliness
Of my disastrous life

Would that I could touch
Be touched
By a caring hand
To feel another's love
Rather than hear words
Which lack the conviction
To know the love of another
To know, not have to try
To discern between paranthetical phrasing
To know the warmth
Of bathing in the love
Of another's heart
My dream
My wish
Forever denied
