STomPIERRE was in beautiful Revelstoke and hung around one extra day instead of going in the traffic of Vancouver as it was originally planned. It turns out it was a good move as Revelstoke is quite the place.
Here was a bunch of happy people living the roamer lifestyle meeting STomPIERRE at the Revelstoke Lumber Days competitions. The girl in the bunch called out to STomPIERRE as he had just walked by with his guitar on his back. She said "Hey dude". Seeing STomPIERRE turn around with a smile on his face, she and her companions knew they were about to make a new friend. Of course they wanted to hear a song. After hearing various roaming Canadian stories from them and especially the train hikes that one said he liked to have, STomPIERRE named a song Stompin' Tom once recorded on the "60 old time country favourites" box set called "Waitin' for a train" and their eyes lit up as they all knew that one. So he sang it to their joy plus another one called "Mrs Blue Guitar". Also, as a special treat for the French speaking lasse named Zoé, STomPIERRE sang one of his favourite which is, of course, "The Canadian lumberjack".
Happy lumber days everyone!!!
