Pure Maple Syrup from Québec

A long family tradition from STomPIERRE's roots.

Location and brief history of Érablière La Coulée Perpétuelle Enr.

Located in Ste-Perpétue-De-L'Islet, (see the exact location on the map below highlighted with a smiling logo) L'Érablière La Coulée Perpétuelle, Enr. continues our long family tradition of producing fine maple products. Since 1923, our family has made the making of maple syrup and its products a time of the year we all look forward to. Currently owned and operated by my brother Richard St-Pierre, the operation had been run since the early fifties by my father Armand St-Pierre which, in turn, had continued the tradition from my grand-father Irenée St-Pierre.

Located in this well drained, rich dark soil area of the Apalachians mountain range, our maple forest as grown in the surrounding land in the past century from a relatively small group of trees to what now makes a 11 200 taps operation. Careful clearing cuts surrounding our future mature trees have, over the years, greatly contributed to our higher than average concentration of sugar maple trees among other species for the region. Since the early 70's we have run our operation with plastic pipelines for the collection of the sap. Through many upgrades, our now state of the art facility include reverse osmosis systems among other things. When we have our syrup at 66 degree Brix, it is then ready for our advanced filtering system to ensure a fine final product.

My father and brother have always paid great attention to details surrounding the making of syrup to ensure a superior quality. These fine attributes of workmanship have shown great ranking positions in regionally and provincially run maple syrup products competitions over the years.
