Cocktail sausages

Ingredients

3/4 cup of maple syrup
1/4 cup of pineapple juice
Cocktail sausages or hotdogs cut into one chunk
Cornstarch

Instructions:

Combine maple syrup, pineapple juice and sausages.
Heat over low heat (avoid breaking the sausages).
When hot, remove sausages.
Mix a little cornstarch with the remaining liquid and,
cook until thick.
Serve sausages on toothpicks with the thickened cooking liquid as a dip.


Maple Syrup Pastry

Ingredients

2 cups of maple syrup
1 cup of water
2 cups of flour
4 tsp of baking powder
A pinch of salt
4 tbsp of butter
1 cup of milk

Instructions:

Bring maple syrup and water to a boil in a saucepan.
Mix dry ingredients.
Add butter and milk.
Immediately pour spoonfuls of batter into boiling maple syrup.
Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat.


Maple Roasted Chicken

Ingredients

1 Fresh chicken or legs or breasts
Salt
Pepper
Parsley
Savory
Paprika
STomPIERRE maple syrup
Ketchup
Water

Instructions:

Season poultry on all sides with spices.
Place on a roasting pan and pour on a small quantity of maple syrup.
Cover with alluminium foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
Uncover chicken and baste frequently with pan juices during the last half hour of cooking.
When the chicken is cooked, add a little water and ketchup to the pan juices to make gravy.
Serve chicken and gravy with potatoes and side vegetables.


Maple Roll

Ingredients

1 receipe sponge cake
Maple mousse
Fresh strawberries

Instructions:

Spread sponge cake batter on a cookie sheet and bake for about 12 minutes.
When baked, turn the cake onto a damp towel.
Trim off dry edges and carefully roll cake in the towel to form a log.
Unroll and spread cake with maple mousse and sliced strawberries.
Carefully roll cake up again.
Frost with maple mousse and decorate with fresh whole strawberries.


Maple Salad Dressing

Ingredients

1 tsp of granulated maple sugar OR 2 tsp of maple syrup
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried parsley
2 tbsp vinegar (optional)
5 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 green onion chopped finely

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients together in a glass jar and cover firmly.
Shake until the mixture is creamy.
Serve with your favorite salad or on sliced tomatoes.
