"Your Imagination Is My Limitation"

Leather Care-
tips for caring for your leather

To clean your leather, NEVER use soap and water.
It will remove all the natural oils in the leather;
your leather will dry and crack, eventually disintegrating!
To clean, use a conditioner/cleaning product.

LEXOL is my preference.

MINK OIL is the BEST way to preserve your leather,
no matter what type of item with the exception of suede.
Use mink oil at least once a year; also before and after storing.

NEVER store leather in plastic! It molds!
To apply mink oil,
generously saturate a soft cloth and rub vigorously over entire item.
Let it soak in overnight.
Suede requires special solutions and tools.
Refer to a leather-crafter or dry-cleaner specializing in leather cleaning.
For storage, wrap in paper.

NEVER repair a seam with fish line, plastic, nylon, or acrylic products.
If necessary, use carpet thread or waxed linen thread.
Make sure you use the original stitch line if at all possible.
