My Writings

Various scrawlings, poetic waxing, and fictional walks on the strange side. If you're weird enough to be friends with me, you'll probably enjoy it. If not, and you're here anyway, it ain't my fault! Abandon hope, all ye who enter here. ;)
Important note!
Almost all of my writing is some or all of the following: explicitly sexual, violent, emotionally disturbing, irreverent, off-kilter, and containing adult language and adult situations. In short, it is altogether unfit for anyone underage, repressed, or easily offended, so if you fit into any of those catagories, don't read it. You were warned. If you want family-friendly fic, look elsewhere.
Index:
- "Left in the Dark: Counterpoint"
A fictional tribute to Jim Steinman's song, "Left in the Dark". Whether or not you're a Jim fan, it's worth reading. This is my most recent completed effort. It is somewhat sexually explicit, with a hint of violence, and very disturbing. If only all my stories turned out this good...
- "Left in the Dark: Alone in the Light"
Resulting from an innocent question asked of me after I wrote "Left in the Dark: Counterpoint" this sequel rivals its predecessor for sheer scariness. Tell me what you think.
- "An Unlikely Pairing"
This one came about after a chat with some fellow X-men fans. I was grousing about how my namesake was acting like a whiny spoiled brat, and if Gambit had any sense, he'd give up on her and find somebody else. "But who else?" I was asked. This brief tale is the result. ;) This one probably rates a PG or so, since it features nothing scarier than a bar fight and morning-after musings, plus a four-letter word. Added 10/08/00
- "A Taste of Revenge"
This is a Common People story, about a normal person in the X-Men universe with a very abnormal power. This is another of my more whimsical stories, about a young mutant who gets miffed at an anti-mutant bigot and decides to take a little harmless revenge. Probably the only G-rated story I'll ever write. Added 10/08/00
- "Yes, I'm a woman, and no, I don't want kids."
An article I wrote for Themestream on one of my pet peeves. It's still in their formatting style, which is why it looks so different from the rest of my site.
- "Boredom"
A poem describing an average day in my life during my long stretch of unemployment/depression. No, I take it back- this is a description of one of the better days, when I was just bored instead of horribly depressed. Don't worry, I don't plan to write any more poetry. ;-P
- "Attack of the Fanboys"
From my Babylon 5 phase, this is my brief and hopefully amusing fanfic showing what might happen if Babylon 5 were changed to be like most other 'science fiction shows' on television. It's a really rough first draft, since I never really got inspired to work on it after this. This is completely different from what I usually write.
- "Crime and Punishment"
My first real foray into the dark-yet-romantic, hyper-emotional vignettes that are becoming my trademark. Graphic violence, adult situations- pretty much everything that scares people (except sex). This one is definately not for the faint of heart. I wrote it a few years ago, so it's still a little rough and awkward in places, but it's getting there.
That's all for now, though I might add more later. Constructive criticism is welcome on all my writings, flames will be laughed at and trashed.
