A Book In My Father's House

There's a book in my Father's house.
It has my name written down.
To declare that I'm a child of the King.
And someday, I'll inherit a crown.

My name is plainly written in red.
For my Father wrote it for me.
He wrote it with the blood of Jesus.
When He gave His life on Calvary.

And no book has ever been written
to compare to the one above.
It's author is the king of all kings...
It's purpose was to show His love.

This book will never be a best seller.
But no one really cares.
For the words are the names of His children
who will one day meet Him in the air.

Yes, there's a book in my Father's house.
I'm happy to know it holds my name.
For it means when I leave this world...
A Mansion in Heaven I shall claim.
