This is an alternate source for my broadcast data programs. Larry Vehorn's site usually carries the most-recent FCC data.
I owe Larry a big thank-you for all his efforts.

"How To" info for AMSTNS and TVFMSTNS is available.

The following FCC data is from May 13, 2009. Be sure to check Larry's site for most-recent data.

Download AMSTNS 4.6b2e dated 2007 02 06 and FCC data of 2009 05 13 [2 MB]

Download TVFMSTNS 8.7b1b dated 2007 01 14 and FCC data of 2009 03 17 [3.5 MB]

Some DTV stations are erroneously shown as "Licensed but silent" if that is the status of the associated NTSC/analog station.
I intend to correct this bug in TVFMSTNS when the DTV transition has been completed.

WARNING - Windows XP's Internal UNZIP Redates Files
AMSTNS and TVFMSTNS report the date of the FCC data being displayed based on the date of the Comments file.
The UNZIP service internal to my copy of XP redates files in the UNZIP process. This causes an erroneous reporting of the date of the FCC data.
You should use another UNZIP program such as 7-Zip or ZIPreader, available free from CNET. PKUNZIP 2.04 also produces correct dates.
WinZip, not free after a short evaluation period, appears to correctly date extracted files.

xxSTNS on Windows VISTA
It is probably best to use an X86 emulator such as DOSBox to run xxSTNS on a Vista machine.
There is a severe speed penalty when using such an emulator.

ROUND "CIRCLES" ON WIDE-SCREEN MONITORS WITH XP
One of the quirks of Windows XP is that programs such as xxSTNS which use DOS graphics
always run Full Screen. This means that the circles in directional plots are shown as ovals on wide-screen monitors.
As far as I know, the only way to show round "circles" on such monitors is to execute xxSTNS using an emulator such as DOSbox (see above).

CREATE KML FILES FOR GOOGLE EARTH
Download Google Earth(R) [GE] from this site if you don't already have it. GE requires high-speed Internet access.
Current versions of AMSTNS and TVFMSTNS allow you to create your own KML files.
Find the stations you want to plot. Then press F6 and then G. The KML file will be placed in C:\_STNS.
Either double-left-click on the KML file you wish to display or drag-&-drop it onto Google Earth.
xxSTNS Help F1 gives more info on KML output.

*** TRANSMITTER LOCATIONS FOR GARMIN GPS RECEIVERS ***
It is possible to create custom Points of Interest (POI) for Garmin GPS receivers from xxSTNS.
TXT2CSV.ZIP contains a converter from xxSTNS TXT output to the CSV format used by Garmin receivers.
