Due to rain on the original date set for the Adopt-a-Highway cleanup, we have rescheduled the event. On Saturday, June 13th, we will clean up our section of Mounds Road for this project. We will meet at the Entrance to Mounds Park at 9:00 a.m. We need eight to ten members in order to finish in 90 minutes. Please consider coming out that morning for a fun walk along the highway.

progress. The Mayor's Cup Grand Prix for 2010 will take place at Hoosier Park Racing Casino. We had hoped to hold the races there this year but our event conflicted with Hoosier Park's coverage of the Kentucky Derby event which draws gamers and spectators to the local casino and track. We have scheduled next year's Mayor's Cup so that it will not correspond to the Derby date. The racing will take place in one of the parking areas of the Hoosier Park grounds. We look forward to working with their organization in promoting our event next year. The Anderson Sertoma Club expressed its gratitude for Hoosier Park's sponsorship by presenting an award at our Sponsor Appreciation Banquet on May 14th. Pictured at left is Jeff Smith from Hoosier Park accepting an award on behalf of the Racing and Casino facility, from Terry Riggins. Also pictured is Don Hartman, Chairman of the race committee. NOTE: Thursday June 25th we will tour Hoosier Park during our regular meeting time. We will receive a $5.00 food voucher and another $5.00 voucher for the games in the casino. NO MEETING AT THE CHURCH!
