Service To Mankind (Continued)

The Madison County Visitors and Convention Bureau has made a grant to our Sertoma Club for the purchase of a trailer in which to transport our new safer plastic barriers for kart racing. Here's the stipulation for the grant: We have to supply signage for the trailor to advertise our event and the bureau. Pictured below is our projected trailer sign.

*Thursday, April 9th:  6:30 p.m. Dinner Meeting at the First Presbyterian Church. 230 W. 9th Street.  Our speaker for this meeting will be our friend Lou Lupton (Linda's husband). His topic will be, "It's not Easy Being Green". Lou will give us ten benefits of going "Green".

help in the mission to Haiti that his church conducts every year. Paul serves on the board of directors of the Anderson Public Library and is the chairman of the selection committee for Habitat for Humanity in this county.
We had to postpone the award ceremony because Paul was in Colorado, welcoming his son home from Iraq on the night of the Freedom banquet where we usually make the award. Paul is pictured accepting his award from Denny Hodge.

more spectators. The Anderson city administration, and the Mayor's office have been very helpful in getting access to this very spacious race venue. We are preparing the grounds and selling sponsorships as this newsletter is being prepared. Please, if you know of any business or organization that is a potential sponsor for this event let us know immediately! We also need volunteers to help at the site on race weekend.
