three finalists all read their entries that are titled, "What Freedom Means to Me". The proud parents and other family members were there to support their children as they addressed the audience. All three finalists were very convincing in the readings, but only one could be the winner. Quinton Bell received a check for Fifty dollars and Sierra and Triston each received Twenty Five dollars for being finalists. We congratulate all these children and their parents for the outstanding performances. It is always reassuring to know that there are future leaders coming through our educational system. These kids will grow up to be good citizens and good parents. Thanks Steve, Good job!

was discontinued. This year's Sertoman of the Year has stepped up in another very important way. When we needed a club Secretary on short notice, Larry Robbins accepted the challenge and took on this job. Larry has prepared our reports and updated our membership roles in a timely manner and taken the minutes of the board of directors meetings. Larry was also a leader in the Breakfast club. He held, among others, the office of President of that club. He did the write ups for Service to Mankind Awards that were district winners. Larry also attended this year's State Fall Conference at Camp Sertoma. A long time Anderson attorney, Larry has been a community leader for many years.

Race Update
Don Hartman and Terry Riggins are still negotiating a site for our Mayor's Cup Grand Prix kart race. They are not yet prepared to make an announcement, but if you will come to the race meeting on March 26th at Don's home, we'll have more information. We need your participation. Please come and help.

When we needed help, Larry could always be counted upon to volunteer for projects. And so, for many years of service to our club and to Anderson, we have chosen Larry Robbins as our Sertoman of the Year 2009. Congratulations Larry. We are honored and proud to have you on our team in the Anderson Sertoma Club. We will look forward to having you and your son, John, as corner men at the Mayor's Cup Grand Prix race again this year. Thank you for your dedication and time this past year. You have earned this award.
