Club Outing to Mainstage
It was a dark and rainy night... No, it really was, "A dark and rainy night". We assembled at the church for a fine dinner catered by Terry Nunley. After dinner we walked just about a block to the Mainstage Theater. We got to our seats and the play started. It was, "The Sound of Music". Our local musicians and actors, after many hours of rehearsal, did an admirable presentation of the story of the Von Trappe family, of Austria, before the beginning of the second world war. A Trip to the Grand Canyon
Why was my newsletter late? Was the editor sick? No, the editor was on vacation. He missed the Sertoma board of directors' meeting too. The editor was taking pictures at the Grand Canyon. My wife and I traveled with our friends to see not just the Grand Canyon but also Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. We saw the wonders of nature as they can only be seen in places like our National Parks. We tried to capture the beauty and scale of these astounding natural giants and found that there is no camera or canvas
