Shepherding a Child's Heart
Tedd Tripp
Contemporary

Tedd takes a very loving and pastoral approach to parenting that is not based on mere "behavior modification," but on shaping the attitudes that produce the behavior. The book advocates: the exercise of benevolent authority, a "shepherding" approach to training (helping children to understand "why" as well as "what"), keeping the gospel central in parenting and inviting children to honestly scrutinize the gospel. Paperback from Shepherd Press.

Your Child's Profession of Faith
Dennis Gundersen
Contemporary

'... Should you take your child's profession of faith at face value? Is this real conversion, or is it possible your child is deceived? ... If you convey any doubts will you turn this little one away from Christ? What exactly are you to say, if you want to proceed with both wisdom and hope?' Dennis provides Biblical guidance as he tackles these difficult questions. Paperback from Calvary Press.
