In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

were created."

And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD
of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory."

O LORD, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; The
earth is full of Your possessions.

How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear
You, Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, Before the
sons of men!
Job 42:2 -
"I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be
thwarted.
Isaiah 46:9-10 -
"Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose
will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure';
Colossians 1:16 -
For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible
and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -all
things have been created through Him and for Him.
Acts 17:24-25 -
"The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven
and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served
by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to
all people life and breath and all things;
1 Timothy 1:17 -
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and
glory forever and ever. Amen.
[2]
Psalm 53:2-3
- God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there
is anyone who understands, Who seeks after God. Every one of them has turned
aside; together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good,
not even one.
Romans 8:7-8 - because
the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject
itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who
are in the flesh cannot please God.
Job 15:15-16
- "Behold, He puts no trust in His holy ones, And the heavens are not pure
in His sight; How much less one who is detestable and corrupt, Man, who
drinks iniquity like water!
Romans 1:20-21 -
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal
power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through
what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they
knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became
futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Matthew 15:19
- "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications,
thefts, false witness, slanders.
Jeremiah 17:9 -
"The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who
can understand it?
Psalm 2:2-3 -
The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, "Let us tear their fetters
apart And cast away their cords from us!"
Ephesians 2:1-3 -
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked
according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power
of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging
the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of
wrath, even as the rest.
[3]
Exodus 20:3-17 -
"You shall have no other gods before
Me.
"You shall not make for yourself an
idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath
or in the water under the earth. "You shall not worship them or serve them;
for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those
who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love
Me and keep My commandments.
"You shall not take the name of the
LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes
His name in vain.
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep
it holy. "Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh
day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work,
you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your
cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. "For in six days the LORD
made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested
on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made
it holy.
"Honor your father and your mother,
that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives
you.
"You shall not murder.
"You shall not commit adultery.
"You shall not steal.
"You shall not bear false witness against
your neighbor.
"You shall not covet your neighbor's
house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male servant or
his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to
your neighbor."
Matthew 22:36-40 -
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him,
"'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR
SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' "This is the great and foremost commandment.
"The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "On
these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."
Romans 3:19-20 -
Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under
the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become
accountable to God; because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified
in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
Galatians 3:21 -
Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if
a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness
would indeed have been based on law.
Matthew 5:20-22 -
"For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the
scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. "You have
heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER' and 'Whoever
commits murder shall be liable to the court.' "But I say to you that everyone
who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever
says to his brother, 'You good -for -nothing,' shall be guilty before the
supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to
go into the fiery hell.
Matthew 5:27-28 -
"You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY'; but
I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already
committed adultery with her in his heart.
Romans 7:12-14 -
So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and
good. Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me?
May it never be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to
be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, so that through
the commandment sin would become utterly sinful. For we know that the Law
is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.
[4]
Romans 2:5 -
But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing
up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous
judgment of God, who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:
Revelation 14:10-11 -
he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full
strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the
Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have
no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever
receives the mark of his name."
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 -
For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just
like a thief in the night. While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then
destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman
with child, and they will not escape.
Matthew 25:41 -
"Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed
ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his
angels;
[5]
Ephesians 1:4-5 -
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we
would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption
as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention
of His will,
2 Timothy 1:8-9 -
... God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according
to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted
us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,
Titus 3:4-5 -
But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness,
but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing
by the Holy Spirit,
John 1:12-13 -
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children
of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood
nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
Romans 9:13-16
- Just as it is written, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED." What shall
we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be!
For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL
HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION." So then it does not depend
on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.
[6]
Ephesians 5:25-27 -
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave
Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her
by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself
the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing;
but that she would be holy and blameless.
Romans 5:7-8 -
For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good
man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward
us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:28-32 -
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those
who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those
whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image
of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and
these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He
also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. What then
shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who
did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will
He not also with Him freely give us all things?
2 Timothy 4:18 -
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely
to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
James 2:5 -
Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world
to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those
who love Him?
Ezekiel 11:19-20 -
"And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And
I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart
of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and
do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God.
[7]
Habakkuk 1:13 - Your
eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can not look on wickedness with
favor. Why do You look with favor On those who deal treacherously? Why
are You silent when the wicked swallow up Those more righteous than they?
Psalm 5:4-6 - For
You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; No evil dwells with
You. The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes; You hate all who do
iniquity. You destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the man
of bloodshed and deceit.
Psalm 11:5 - The
LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence
His soul hates.
Romans 2:3-6 - But
do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice
such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment
of God? Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance
and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing
up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous
judgment of God, who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:
Deuteronomy 32:39-41 - 'See
now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to
death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, And there is
no one who can deliver from My hand. 'Indeed, I lift up My hand to heaven,
And say, as I live forever, If I sharpen My flashing sword, And My hand
takes hold on justice, I will render vengeance on My adversaries, And I
will repay those who hate Me.
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 - For
you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like
a thief in the night. While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction
will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child,
and they will not escape.
Revelation 16:7 - And
I heard the altar saying, "Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous
are Your judgments."
Galatians 6:7-
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he
will also reap.
[8]
Mark 10:45 - "For
even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give
His life a ransom for many."
1 Corinthians 15:3 - For
I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ
died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
2 Corinthians 5:21 - He
made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become
the righteousness of God in Him.
1 Peter 2:24 - and
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die
to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
Romans 3:24-26 - being
justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ
Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through
faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance
of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration,
I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just
and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
John 1:29 - The
next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God
who takes away the sin of the world!
[9]
Hebrews 4:15 - For
we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 7:26-27 - For
it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled,
separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need
daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own
sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for
all when He offered up Himself.
2 Corinthians 5:21 - He
made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become
the righteousness of God in Him.
1 Peter 2:21-23 - For
you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you,
leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, WHO COMMITTED NO
SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH; and while being reviled, He
did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept
entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;
1 John 3:5 - You
know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no
sin.
Luke 23:41 - "And
we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for
our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."
[10]
Mark 10:45 - "For
even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give
His life a ransom for many."
Hebrews 2:10 - For
it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all
things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their
salvation through sufferings.
Isaiah 53:6 - All
of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.
Isaiah 53:11 - As
a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By
His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As
He will bear their iniquities.
[11]
Hebrews 1:2-8 - in
these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of
all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance
of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all
things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins,
He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as
much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name
than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say, "YOU ARE MY SON,
TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"? And again, "I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE
SHALL BE A SON TO ME"? And when He again brings the firstborn into the
world, He says, "AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM." And of the
angels He says, "WHO MAKES HIS ANGELS WINDS, AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME
OF FIRE." But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER,
AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.
John 1:1-14 - In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through
Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in
the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. ... He was in the
world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But
as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of
God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood
nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the
Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of
the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Colossians 1:15-17 - He
is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by
Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible
and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -all
things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things,
and in Him all things hold together.
Philippians 2:5-9 - Have
this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although
He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing
to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond -servant,
and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death
on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed
on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus
EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under
the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Revelation 22:12-13 - "Behold,
I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according
to what he has done. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last,
the beginning and the end."
Micah 5: 2 - "But
as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah,
From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth
are from long ago, From the days of eternity."
Isaiah 9:6 - For
a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government
will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Acts 5:3-4 - But
Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy
Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? "While it remained
unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under
your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart?
You have not lied to men but to God."
Acts 13:2 - While
they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set
apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."
Matthew 3:16-17 - After
being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the
heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove
and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This
is My beloved Son, in whom I am well -pleased."
Matthew 28:19 - "Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
2 Corinthians 13:14 - The
grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship
of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
Deuteronomy 6:4 - "Hear,
O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!
Deuteronomy 32:39 -
'See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put
to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, And there
is no one who can deliver from My hand.
Isaiah 44:6 - "Thus
says the LORD, the King of Israel And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts:
'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.
Isaiah 46:9 - "Remember
the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am
God, and there is no one like Me,
1 Corinthians 8:4 - Therefore
concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that there
is no such thing as an idol in the world, and that there is no God but
one.
1 Timothy 2:5 -
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus,
[12]
Mark 1:11 - and
a voice came out of the heavens: "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well
-pleased."
Mark 9:7 - Then
a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud,
"This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!"
John 3:35 - "The
Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.
John 5:20 - "For
the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing;
and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will
marvel.
John 10:14 - "I
am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the
Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
Romans 8:31-34 - What
then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how
will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge
against God's elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns?
Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the
right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
Hebrews 7:23-28 - The
former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they
were prevented by death from continuing, but Jesus, on the other hand,
because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore
He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him,
since He always lives to make intercession for them. For it was fitting
for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated
from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need daily, like
those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and
then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when
He offered up Himself. For the Law appoints men as high priests who are
weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son,
made perfect forever.
[13]
John 1:14 -
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory
as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Hebrews 2:17-18 - Therefore,
He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become
a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make
propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted
in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who
are tempted.
Hebrews 4:14-15 - Therefore,
since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus
the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high
priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been
tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
John 10:11 - "I
am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
Ephesians 5:25-26 - Husbands,
love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself
up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing
of water with the word,
Acts 20: 28 - "Be
on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit
has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased
with His own blood.
[14]
Matthew 1: 20-23 - But
when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him
in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary
as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy
Spirit. "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He
will save His people from their sins." Now all this took place to fulfill
what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: "BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL
BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,"
which translated means, "GOD WITH US."
Romans 1: 3-4 - concerning
His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh,
who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the
dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,
Luke 23:13-24 - Pilate
summoned the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and said to them,
"You brought this man to me as one who incites the people to rebellion,
and behold, having examined Him before you, I have found no guilt in this
man regarding the charges which you make against Him. "No, nor has Herod,
for he sent Him back to us; and behold, nothing deserving death has been
done by Him. "Therefore I will punish Him and release Him." Now he was
obliged to release to them at the feast one prisoner. But they cried out
all together, saying, "Away with this man, and release for us Barabbas!"
(He was one who had been thrown into prison for an insurrection made in
the city, and for murder.) Pilate, wanting to release Jesus, addressed
them again, but they kept on calling out, saying, "Crucify, crucify Him!"
And he said to them the third time, "Why, what evil has this man done?
I have found in Him no guilt demanding death; therefore I will punish Him
and release Him." But they were insistent, with loud voices asking that
He be crucified. And their voices began to prevail. And Pilate pronounced
sentence that their demand be granted.
Mark 15:15-39 - Wishing
to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas for them, and after having
Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified. The soldiers took Him
away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium), and they called together
the whole Roman cohort. They dressed Him up in purple, and after twisting
a crown of thorns, they put it on Him; and they began to acclaim Him, "Hail,
King of the Jews!" They kept beating His head with a reed, and spitting
on Him, and kneeling and bowing before Him. After they had mocked Him,
they took the purple robe off Him and put His own garments on Him. And
they led Him out to crucify Him. They pressed into service a passer -by
coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene (the father of Alexander and Rufus),
to bear His cross. Then they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is
translated, Place of a Skull. They tried to give Him wine mixed with myrrh;
but He did not take it. And they crucified Him, and divided up His garments
among themselves, casting lots for them to decide what each man should
take. It was the third hour when they crucified Him. The inscription of
the charge against Him read, "THE KING OF THE JEWS." They crucified two
robbers with Him, one on His right and one on His left. And the Scripture
was fulfilled which says, "And He was numbered with transgressors." Those
passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads, and saying,
"Ha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,
save Yourself, and come down from the cross!" In the same way the chief
priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking Him among themselves
and saying, "He saved others; He cannot save Himself. "Let this Christ,
the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and
believe!" Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him. When
the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth
hour. At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "ELOI, ELOI,
LAMA SABACHTHANI?" which is translated, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN
ME?" When some of the bystanders heard it, they began saying, "Behold,
He is calling for Elijah." Someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine,
put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying, "Let us see whether Elijah
will come to take Him down." And Jesus uttered a loud cry, and breathed
His last. And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
When the centurion, who was standing right in front of Him, saw the way
He breathed His last, he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"
Matthew 27:50-54 - And
Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And
behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and
the earth shook and the rocks were split. The tombs were opened, and many
bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out
of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared
to many. Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over
Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening,
became very frightened and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
[15]
John 19:28-30 - After
this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to
fulfill the Scripture, said, "I am thirsty." A jar full of sour wine was
standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch
of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth. Therefore when Jesus had received
the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave
up His spirit.
John 12:27-28 - "Now
My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, 'Father, save Me from
this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour. "Father, glorify
Your name." Then a voice came out of heaven: "I have both glorified it,
and will glorify it again."
1 Corinthians 15:56-57 - The
sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to
God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Colossians 2:13-15 - When
you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against
us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having
nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities,
He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
Isaiah 53:10-11 - But
the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render
Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong
His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. As
a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By
His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As
He will bear their iniquities.
John 10:26-30 - "But
you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. "My sheep hear My voice,
and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and
they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. "My
Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able
to snatch them out of the Father's hand. "I and the Father are one."
[16]
Matthew 27:57-60 -
When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph,
who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. This man went to Pilate
and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to
him. And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and
laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he
rolled a large stone against the entrance of the tomb and went away.
Matthew 28:1-6 - Now
after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week,
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. And behold,
a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from
heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. And his appearance
was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. The guards shook
for fear of him and became like dead men. The angel said to the women,
"Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been
crucified. "He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see
the place where He was lying.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8 - For
I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ
died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried,
and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and
that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared
to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until
now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to James, then to all
the apostles; and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to
me also.
John 2:19-21 - Jesus
answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it
up." The Jews then said, "It took forty -six years to build this temple,
and will You raise it up in three days?" But He was speaking of the temple
of His body.
Matthew 12:39-40 - But
He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation craves
for a sign; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the
prophet; for just as JONAH WAS THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE BELLY
OF THE SEA MONSTER, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights
in the heart of the earth.
Acts 1:3-11 - To
these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing
proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the
things concerning the kingdom of God. ... And
after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking
on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing
intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing
stood beside them. They also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking
into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will
come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."
Romans 1:4 - who
was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead,
according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,
Acts 17:29-31 - "Being
then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature
is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought
of man. "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now
declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has
fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a
Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising
Him from the dead."
Acts 2:32-33 - "This
Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. "Therefore having
been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father
the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both
see and hear.
[17]
Hebrews 9:27-28 - And
inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,
so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will
appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who
eagerly await Him.
2 Timothy 4:1 - I
solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is
to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
Acts 10:42-43 - "And
He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this
is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the
dead. "Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone
who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins."
Revelation 20:11-15 - Then
I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence
earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw
the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books
were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and
the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according
to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death
and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every
one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown
into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And
if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown
into the lake of fire.
Matthew 25:34 - "Then
the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of
My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of
the world.
Matthew 25:41 - "Then
He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones,
into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
Revelation 14:10-11 - he
also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full
strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the
Lamb. "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have
no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever
receives the mark of his name."
Revelation 7:13-17 - Then
one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the
white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?" I said to him,
"My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out
of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them
white in the blood of the Lamb. "For this reason, they are before the throne
of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits
on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. "They will hunger no
longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any
heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd,
and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe
every tear from their eyes."
[18]
John 14:6 - Jesus
said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to
the Father but through Me.
Acts 4:12 - "And
there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven
that has been given among men by which we must be saved."
John 3:18 - "He
who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged
already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son
of God.
1 Timothy 2:5 - For
there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ
Jesus,
Philippians 2:9-11 - For
this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name
which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL
BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that
every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father.
[19]
Acts 16: 30-31 - and
after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your
household."
Romans 10:9-13 - that
if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart
a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM
WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." For there is no distinction between Jew and
Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who
call on Him; for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
John 20:30-31 - Therefore
many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples,
which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that
you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing
you may have life in His name.
Ephesians 2:8-10 - For
by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which
God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Philippian 1:29 - For
to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him,
but also to suffer for His sake,

one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will
raise him up on the last day.
Titus 3:5-6 - He
saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness,
but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing
by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ
our Savior,
[20]
Matthew 7:22-23 - Many
will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name,
and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU
WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
Acts 17:24-25 - The
God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven
and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served
by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to
all people life and breath and all things;
Romans 1:20-21 - For
since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power
and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what
has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they
knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became
futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
John 1:1, 14 - In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. ... And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His
glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and
truth.
John 8:24 - Therefore
I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that
I am He, you will die in your sins.
Romans 10:9 - that
if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
Acts 16:30-31 - and
after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your
household."
2 Corinthians 4:3-7 - And
even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving
so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus
as Lord, and ourselves as your bond -servants for Jesus' sake. For God,
who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone
in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in
the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that
the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;
Romans 4:4-5 - Now
to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what
is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who
justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,
Galatians 3:10-11 - For
as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written,
"CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT ABIDE BY ALL THINGS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK
OF THE LAW, TO PERFORM THEM." Now that no one is justified by the
Law before God is evident; for, "THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."
Luke 18:13-14 - But
the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift
up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful
to me, the sinner!’ I tell you, this man went to his house justified
rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled,
but he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Acts 3:19 - Therefore
repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times
of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 17:30 - Therefore
having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that
all people everywhere should repent,
James 2:17-20 - Even
so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.
Ephesians 2:10 - For
we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
[21]

you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you

Father!"

then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE."

Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof,
for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may
be adequate, equipped for every good work.
Acts 17:11 - Now
these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received
the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether
these things were so.
Psalm 119:11-15 -...
Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.
Blessed are You, O LORD; Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have told
of All the ordinances of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your
testimonies, As much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts
And regard Your ways. I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget
Your word.
1 Peter 2:2 - like
newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may
grow in respect to salvation,
Romans 1:17 - For
in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is
written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."
Galatians 3:2-3 - This
is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit
by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish?
Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
Galatians 5:22-23 - But
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no
law.
2 Corinthians 3:18 - But
we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,
are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as
from the Lord, the Spirit.
Matthew 5:3-12 -
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for
they shall be comforted.
"Blessed are the gentle, for they
shall inherit the earth.
"Blessed are those who hunger and
thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
"Blessed are the merciful, for
they shall receive mercy.
"Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they shall see God.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for
they shall be called sons of God.
"Blessed are those who have been
persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven.
"Blessed are you when people insult
you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because
of Me.
"Rejoice and be glad, for your
reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets
who were before you.
1 John 3:23 - This
is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ,
and love one another, just as He commanded us.
John 13:35 - By
this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for
one another.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 - Now
there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are
varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of
effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But
to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
Romans 8:23 - And
not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit,
even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption
as sons, the redemption of our body.
[22]
1 John 1:8-10 -
If
we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is
not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive
us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that
we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
Romans 7:18-8:4 - For
I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing
is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I
want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But
if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing
it, but sin which dwells in me. I find then the principle that evil is
present in me, the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully concur with
the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members
of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner
of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will
set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus
Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving
the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Therefore
there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the
law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law
of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through
the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh
and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the
requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according
to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:24-25 - For
in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who
hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see,
with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Philippians 1:6 - For
I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you
will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:12-14 - Not
that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press
on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by
Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it
yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward
to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward
call of God in Christ Jesus.
[23]

Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
Acts 14:21-22 - After
they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples,
they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening the
souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and
saying, "Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God."

according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth,
in which righteousness dwells.

Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches.
I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star." The
Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come."
And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water
of life without cost.
