Halloween
      The best thing about Halloween is that props and costumes are very easy to find!

      I let the girls chat a while so I could get set up for the next photoshoot.

      Dixie asked, "What do you suppose Terry is up to this time?"
      Trixie replied, "I don't know, but he did have some Halloween stuff in his shopping bags. I hope it isn't anything gruesome!"
     
      KeithAllen's pictures of Melanie's hand repair gave me the layout for the wires in the fingers. This will make the hands posable. I taped the wires to the paperboard armatures that came inside the gloves.
      I folded the paperboard armatures over the wires, and placed drinking straws over them to make the 'bones' covering the wires. I should wrap these in tissue to make them more realistic, but I want to get some latex gloves to put over the tissue.

      The candy corn necklace gave me constant trouble. First, I tried to glue the corn to some string with Elmer's Glue All, but the candy started to disolve. The pumpkin earrings were made with paper clips.

She is wearing the Selena wig (color 24BT18) from Jon Renau, 20" Velvet Gloves (white) by Seasons USA from Meijer, and her shoes are the White Stag black ballet flats from Wal Mart.

      Both girls are wearing Everhard's governor, a belt above the hemline used to keep their legs closer together. Here they are wearing the 20" Velvet Gloves.

      Here is Dixie wearing the South of the Border costume and the 15" Princess Wig. It reminds me of Shirley Temple! I got the idea for this costume from Nagus' excellent pictures of Dottie's Fiesta.

      This is with the 36" Long Black Wig. I had to tie her hair back to show the pumpkin earrings.

      The candy corn necklace gave me constant trouble. The corn kept falling off thoughout the entire shoot, and I was constantly digging it out of their bras. Under different circumstances, I would have enjoyed that!
      By the way, I never had trouble getting Scotch tape off of the vinyl until now. When the corn fell off, I put another layer of tape on top of the tape that was already there.

      Another set of closeups. The black wig had some hair cut out of the back side, and it left a hole that I had to fill in, as seen in later shots. The gray wig had all of its hair.

      Now for a complete costume change, Dixie dons the Surplice Knit Dress, a pair of Fairy Wings, and the Princess Wig. Something about this combination just doesn't work. It makes her look like a guy in drag. I think the wig would go better with something younger, like a tee shirt and pant outfit.
     
      The blue choker is part of the wings. Maybe that is what kills this picture for me.
     
      I enjoyed this shoot and I am looking forward to the next one.
