Dollstock 2012

There are a lot of pictures from Dollstock 2012, so I wrote two pages for this report. Links near the bottoms of both pages go back and forth between the two pages. Links back to the website home page are below these page links. This is page 2.

Soon after we set up for the Trick or Treat! shoot outside on the back porch, we got a quick shower. There was a mad grab to get the dolls inside, and the rain quit soon after they were back in the building.

Parting Shot

Feodora sings a Fleetwood Mac tune:
So I'm back, to the velvet underground
Back to the floor, that I love
To a room with some lace and paper flowers
Back to the gypsy that I was

On the way back

I usually get a workout during photo shoots. My favorite saying after a shoot is, "I think I can skip my appointment at Vic Tanney's! I was stiff, sore, and tired long before I got back to the apartment. The hot showers that I took at the venue and back in the apartment made me feel like candle wax melting under a hot sun. I rode with Mahtek both ways. When I got out of his truck on the way back, I could hardly walk! I need to get back into condition for doll wrangling!

I took Dixie along, but left the snap clips that I use to attach her to the light stand. I sorted out my doll and studio stuff to take as few boxes as possible. The doll hardware was in the box that I did not take.

Camp kept playing with one of the battery operated toy guns that I picked up for the Western shoot. He enjoyed it so much that I gave it to him when we left. I can here Incred cussing me out for doing that, since they rode together! I bet he played with that thing all the way home! The other pistol and the rifle also had lights and sound, but there were no batteries in them.

Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.
