Dollstock 2012

There are a lot of pictures from Dollstock 2012, so I wrote two pages for this report. Links near the bottoms of both pages go back and forth between the two pages. Links back to the website home page are below these page links. This is page 1.

Dollstock has always been a great time for everyone! The companionship with friends old and new just cannot be equalled by any other thing. We laughed until we cried, ate like kings, saw beautiful dolls 'live' and in person, traded some hints and tips, and got in some photo shoots that would not be possible anywhere else. Incred's Myfanwy and Mahtek's Roxaen were the hit of the party since they were both the newest, and we got to meet Gramps and his lovely lady Paula. Seeing Mahtek's Dyanna and Incred's Jayde was an extra blessing.

Friday: On the road

Mahtek and I share expenses for gas, the trailer, and the toll roads for our trip. His truck gets better gas mileage than mine, and he does a better job of upkeep than I do. He does all of the driving, and my incessant babble keeps him fairly awake and alert. Since I am not driving, I usually grab a few dozen pictures of the countryside along the way. Bouncing along the highway is not the best way to take pictures, but I try.

Paula, Myfanwy, Dottie, Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee), Phoebe

The big room has a coffee pot, one of the three refrigerators that we could use, a pool table, an air hockey table, a foosball table, a woodburning stove, an upright piano, a couple of old fashioned looms, several upholstered chairs, two couches, half a dozen wooden rocking chairs, a varnished regular sized picnic table, two enormous picnic tables, a few dozen folding chairs, and a humongous flat sceen TV.

A sip of Snuggles liqueur and some cake. Tamaki busting out all over.

The venue owner put in three new single-bed bedrooms this year. We had seven of the eleven rooms. A pair of ladies stayed in one of the two-bed rooms Friday night. One of them was very interested in the dolls and took pictures. Other than them, we had the entire place to ourselves from Friday to Monday morning.

Some friends and employees of the owner stopped in Saturday night. They were amazed by the dolls. The guys' jaws were dropping and the girls' eyes were popping!

The Entertainment

I went through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to get out of the rain...

The Ghost of KA

Melanie sings and plays the piano.

Another fellow stopped in later in the night to chat and to check out the dolls. He seemed to be more interested in a TV program than the dolls. Hardcore TV show fans let few things get between them and thier shows.

Feodora's other photo shoots can be accessed from this index.

Feodora Verochka Tychovich is a life-sized platinum-cured silicone rubber doll. She was produced by Oleg Bratkov (a gifted sculptor) and his beautiful wife Irina (excellent makeup artist), at Anatomical Doll in Vladivostok, Russia. Feodora has Face 3 and Body 3 of their product line. She has a fully articulated skeleton and can pose in most natural ways that a human can pose. There are 'stops' on the skeleton that prevent her from posing in unnatural ways. This also helps to prevent damage to the silicone.
