My '73 Chevy Nova

I've had other Novas, but this was my favorite.  It was set up to negotiate the hilly, curvy roads of Ridgefield, Connecticut where I grew up.  Most cars would bottom out even at the speed limit in the dips or after flying over the crest of a hill, but not this baby.  Six leaf springs in the back with 10" shackles, extra heavy duty bushings, and Gabriel striders set to extra firm.  Big block springs up front (it was only a 307 cubic inch small block ) with KYB gas shocks.  The ultimate suspension for those roads and for off roading.  I routinely drove it anywhere my friend Bill took his '71 Blazer!
Nice, loud dual exhaust, "Torque Thrust" mag wheels, 60 series Kelly Super Chargers all the way around and an immaculate body completed the package.
This car died a fiery death after jumping a stone wall and bursting into flames.

This picture was taken on a steep dirt driveway off a country dirt road in Pennsylvania just after leaving a local driving a Trans Am in the dust.  The car actually had more of a "rake" to it's stance than it looks like here because of the hill.

This was a beautiful picture of the whole car, but it got destroyed and I had to crop it severely.  It does show the "rake" better than the last picture though, as well as the incredible clearance.  Note the height of the rocker panel with respect to my knee......and I'm wearing tall heeled cowboy boots!

Here is another picture of the car, barely!  I just couldn't resist adding the "chick on the car" thing that all the car magazines do.  Lousy picture, I know, but it's all I had of this nature.  She's my ex-girlfriend, Ginger, from the "Nova era".
