Twin Beech C45 - built 1942. This is
our main form of transportation between Colorado Springs and the Air Shows.
Including flight crew we can carry seven people with luggage in this aircraft.
The plane originally started life as an AT11 -this configuration had a
glass nose, bomb sight and bomb bays. Most of the bombadiers in WWII
were trained in these aircraft. In the 1950s this plane was converted
by Beechcraft to the type you see in this picture - it was then used as
a transport plane for senior staff officers.
