Ball Jointed Doll Progress

This is my latest insanity, an Asian style ball jointed doll. I can't afford over $250 to buy one so I am making my own

It has been quite the learning experience!

These are pictures of my new doll I'm working on, Yep, I'm still trying the sculpting thing again-will I never learn... The first picture is the the first face at different stages. eventually I got a feeling for what I was trying to do. This head ended up being too big-I wasn't paying close enough attention to my scale drawing- done, of course, to keep the head from getting too big. *sigh* The second picture is how the new head looks now-it isn't done yet. The last two are the two heads side by side, the second one I used Photoshop to colorize the new face. As you can see, the new face is much smaller and has the younger look I wanted. (yes-those are marbles for the eyes) Now all I have to do is finish the whole thing! Someday I may have to finish the fist head (It still has a lot of work!) and make the larger body it needs. It could be an "older sister" to the one I'm making.
New pictures of the doll. This is after a number of hours of work. It is getting closer. The second pic is colored with PhotoShop (maybe I should have given her eyelashes...). This head is sooo much better than the first one.

Yep, a third one. The last one was right by the chart I looked at, but that guy does all guy dolls, girls are different. This one is right.
