It's simple...at Venus Studios we
LOVE
to create music.
A passionate hobby of musical composition and
lyric writing that began 2-1/2 decades ago has evolved into a
life-long dream of manifesting the means to share our songs with
the world. The magic of the web is our chosen vehicle to begin this
sharing.
We view time in this humble home studio as PURE
FUN! The greatest inspiration for our
unique and original works always comes from being totally in this
space. Immerse yourself in the music and it just streams in faster.
So, here's a little bit about who "we" are:
Lee Placchi - Composer, Songwriter, Lyricist, Vocalist and Home Studio
Owner:
Lee is a fairly accomplished
composer and lyricist, formally trained in classical piano from
the age of 6. Lee was introduced to the world of MIDI back in the
1980's through artist-musician Wade Worthington. He later enjoyed
working with a small recording studio (Prime Time Records) in the
San Francisco Bay area, and jamming with guitarist Karen Whitham.
Since then, he has become a talented songwriter/composer. He
loves creating inspiring pieces in his somewhat "vintage" facility,
creating amazing works through unbridled creativity and growing
connection to Source, writing and recording entire scores.
In addition
to being a remarkable composer, Lee is a gifted graphic artist and
healing practitioner...

Sherrilynn Taylor - Songwriter, Lyricist, Vocalist and Studio Tech:
In 2006, gifted songwriter Sherrilynn Taylor showed up with
a huge book full of lyrics and plenty of piano melodies to go with
them. Her being and musical style immediately resonated with Lee,
leading to some amazing musical creations. Sherrilynn's lyrics are
inspiring, with melodies that are often hauntingly beautiful.
She is an inspiration to Venus Studios, adding so
much fun and energy to the mix!
In addition
to her musical side, Sherrilynn is an expert in natural ponds and
grower of beautiful waterplants.
Michael Rodriguez - Guitarist, Songwriter and Lyricist:
With guitar in hand, Big Mike humbly shares his musical creations
openly, and there have been many inspirational moments in his presence.
He provides amazing ideas and collaboration, with a gift for dissolving
writers block in others.
In addition
to his musical nature, Mike is a full time student and highly active
community supporter.
Ethereal
Helpers - Inspiration from everywhere:
We gratefully
acknowledge all the formless beings of loving light who continue
to show up in greater capacity and numbers. This willing union and
the inspiration they provide is key to our music.
All works come from the heart. Each one reflects a different
harmony and mood of that "moment" of time, of life experience.
