DIAMONDBACK AXIS with BAFANG BBSHD ELECTRIC MOTOR CONVERSION

Currently puts out 1600 watts/30 amps maximum (about 2 HP) at highest power setting, can run for 30+ miles on a single charge using conservative settings and pedal assistance. Fully charged battery 48 volt pack tests out at about 53.7 volts.

36.4 MPH top speed achieved on flat ground with no pedal assist and 42 tooth sprocket, 43.8 MPH on downhill grade with 46 tooth sprocket, both for up to 2 minutes before battery management system activates and cuts power. Unsprung speed while suspended with no rider exceeds 50 MPH, beyond current speed sensor and display capability.

Bike has received several modifications since original build (handlebars, stem riser, comfort seat, billet drive sprocket, tires, controller, programming mods) Photos shown in sequence from oldest to newest.
